Suzanne Lacy, social art activist, speaks at University of Houston

Suzanne Lacy is a performance artist / social activist who creates participatory projects in order to bring communities together to tackle problems like violence against women. Her body of work is demonstrative of the variety of ways – outside of traditional political participation – that artists are creating opportunities for political engagement.
