Julia Fullerton Batten’s “In Between” photos have been on my mind since 2009 Art Basel. Coming from my dance training in younger years I was reminded of what my teacher told me – the in between moments are more important  than the final pose. Highly narrative yet hauntingly minimal, her images suspend us not only between movements but between feelings and thoughts that propel us from one place to another.
